Although you are a dummy, there is a McDonald's world standard, if you will. It is called the Big Mac Index. It is used as a proxy for currency valuations. Why do you use the percent sign (%) instead of the dollar sign ($)? I can't think of a single currency that uses the % sign.

However, currency valuations have nothing to do with your post, yet you quoted mine about currency valuation.
i ment dollar signs i don't know why i put %'s, allergy medicine.... but back to my post, the prices on big macs are not the same in every currency (proportionally) here a big mac will cost you about 3.50 (us dollars) in mexico its only

2.sixtysomething(us dollars)... and the way it relates to currency valuation is i don't understand why it matters that our currency has closer to equal value to canada unless you are wanting to buy your stuff in canada and bring it back here, undermineing the economy that you are complaining about

You really are dull, aren't you? You completely missed the point trying to be made.

no i know exactly what the point was to be made, "that bush sucks" but its not that simple, don't get me wrong i don't agree with alot of things he has done but i seriously doubt any of you could do better, the presure he is under is more than 20 times more than you will ever have to be. not to mentioned he gets blamed for every problem in the country like it's all his fault? i got news fer ya if we never screwed up then this country would be working perfectly... we are destroying our own economy left and right, everytime you take the money you earned in america and spend it elsewhere, you are emptying money from the US economy and makeing the value of the dollar go down... you think bush just desided to say "hay yall lets make them dollar bills worth less!" and it happened? no as a matter of fact, the value of the dollar hasn't changed much since clinton's days, you can still buy things for about the same price as you did back then.. sometimes cheaper... but rather the values of other currencies are what is changing

also the value of US's currency is based on how much of it is in circulation the more money we print, the more the value goes down... it has been decreasing since the dollar started... in 1913 1 dollar would get you wat over 20 does today

Cotjones is actually right. Big mac prices do fluctuate per country. I know in Russia when McDonalds first came it cost almost a days wage to get a big mac. I know because i read it in history class. Our education system rocks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Also, everything is catching up on the dollar/getting way ahead of the dollar.

I know the yen is doing really well, I'm not positive but i think the Euro and Pound are doing pretty good too. Shoot I think even the Canadian dollar is doing well.

if we are the strongest country in the world why isn't our dollar worth the most? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

i never get that.

well the statement that we are the strongest country in the world is a funny one... if you are talking about militarily, then it might be true but that hurts the economy because the military is constantly taking money out of the economy in all sorts of ways... buying planes and such from other countries, the money they pay the soldiers is being spent in afar places, and investing in research that spends money without a return... so to be the strongest country militarily means to have a weaker economy if you don't depend on you own countrry's resources to support it... china who i would say has a more heafty military than we do is also extremely economic because not only do they manufact most of their own goods and such, but other countries like ours dump money into their economy by importing from them. although they depend on imported fuel just about as much as or more than we do... and japan esspecially... thats why pearl harbor happend

i have the one and only solution to fix americas economy.... convert every gas-station and car in america to E85 and put a 30 foot wall around america... well the wall worked for china, HAHA

E85 does not turn in the same fuel mileage, its actually lower. The cost-benefit ratio is the real reason its not more popular. IIRC, it produces about 80% the power, and about 85% the gas mileage, but isnt much cheaper. E85 isnt the future, Hydrogen and electric/battery/hybrid cars are.

i agree hydrogen and hybrid cars are the future but E85 is a great place to start... it's cheap, burns cleaner, and most importantly, it's renewable, you get it from corn so if the demand for it would go up the price of it would go down and alot of 2007 vehicles allready accept it... hybrid cars are currenty either expensive or not very desireable, luxury-wise... and hydrogen is promising but it really can't get off the ground because it's too expensive and most places have no stations for it, i think there is a couple in cali.. there are E85 stations everywhere... but the best thing about it, is that we make it ourself... we don't depend on imports for it, helping the economy... i'm purty shure america is still the leading corn producer

basically what i'm saying is people have been screaming hydrogen for years now but the switch just can't happen because to use hydrogen you have to buy a car that only uses hydrogen, and who is going to buy one when there's no station around them because no one is buying them? see thats why hydrogen won't take off... with E85 now more and more every car you buy will have the option of E85 as an alternative for gas... so if you live near a e85 station you are probably likely to go get some... more and more people start using it and more and more stations open up... when it gets more popular the price will go down because it is cheap to produce... the only reason the price is as high as it is now is because it is so hard to get
