Alright Time for a new upgrade to the system. Im lookin at doing something totally different on my h2 and I need some help with it. I was thinking about these set ups for a daily beat, and maybe if I do enter a competiton I want to post at least past the 155 db mark:

4 Digital Designs 9515 Subs-2 PHD5000 amps

4 FI BT "Fully Loaded"18" Subs-2 PHD5000 amps

6 Kicker L5 15" Subs-3 JBL 1201.1 amps

I currently have 2 275 amp alternators in the truck with my previous set up (diamond audio) and 2 Kinetik KHC2400 batteries.

Anyways These are the set ups Im thinking about. within the next couple of weeks one of these set ups are goin in, and i will post up some pics. I dont want memphis cause everybody in my city has dem subs, they are nice but its just outta control so if u guys can give me tips on whats best for my truck i would appreciate it. laterz

wuts good.....I would rather get the BL series which is the woofers under the top of the lind "BTL" woofers, it seems like they require so much power. For example Steve Meade puts a fosgate 4000st amp to each woofer, im not tryin to do nothin that extreme. anyways i appreciate the comment. Is there any particular reason u would go with FI over the DD or kicker woofer???

You "could" reach that number with all of those with the right box and power. I would recommend the Fi setup personally. The BL's can get very loud. Good luck with whatever you decide.

i'm doing 154.8 in the USACi lanes with 2 9515's and 2 40's. 153.9 with 1 40.1.

this is below the window line and in the cargo area 41x25x16

i do better with DD's. I've used Treo CSXs and RE MTs as well.

You are looking at running four 9515's or BTL 18's, you have two 275 amp alts... and you're worried about needing to run too much power to your subs? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

For the setups you are looking at, figure on powering them ridiculously, or start thinking about a more realistic system. If you think you are gonna reach anywhere near the potential of four 9515's with a 'reasonable' amount of wattage, you are in for a big surprise.

If you want loud, you are better off with fewer adequately powered subs than you are with more underpowered ones. Nate Munsun hit (almost) 170db with a single 9510 a while back... to put things in perspective.

Well it seems like The DD woofers are the most liked woofers......has anyone heard the kicker or the FI woofers??? Also, I would rather have more than 2 subs if u would wanna put it that way "underpowering the woofers" then I would wanna do it right I just listed what I have and I wasnt sure if the woofers can take that much power without blowing them.

Well lets look at your 9515 option for example. You want to get four 9515's and put two 3000 watt amps on them. Would it be loud? Yes. But those 9515's would want alot more than 1500 watts each to really wang like they should for competing in SPL. Hell a true SPL competitor would put that much power (or more) on one of those subs.

Lastly, why in the world are you running two 275 amp alts if you are so worried about wattage? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif You have the charging system most people here dream about, and you are looking to buy a serious SPL setup, but get cold feet when it comes to powering the subs.

I think you should do some mroe research before you spend the cash. This is a pretty fundamental issue to be discussing for such a serious system being comtemplated.

Aww man, so what amps should I go with then in which i wont have to do any more upgrading to my electrical/charging system??? I guess I will just sell these amps, I was thinking that they put out 5000 watts each. Any suggestions would help real talk cause uhhmm, i wanna upgrade immediately with the help of the experienced people through this site.

I have 4 9515's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif buy them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

there are 5kw amps out. there's even a thread about it. I personally chose the IA 40.1s 3600x1 each or 7200@2 strapped for USACI. For daily, there are large amps; Cactus, Adassa, Atomic just to name a few.
