so i got my amp installed today for my speakers with the intentions of just faiding to the front because one of my rears got effed when a car hit me from the side.

so i go to fade to the front and its only the front left, if i fade to the back left it only plays the front right all the speakers are messsed up in the fade and it sounds lame because there not playing correctly

on top of which theres pops and crackles during some songs telling me this guy didnt really care?

can anyone tell me how i figure out how to do the speakers correctly on my amp?

also why is it crackly and popping? especially when i skip tracks it makes a pop noise.

Sounds like they have the rca's plugged into the wrong channels of the amp and/or the speakers are hooked up to the wrong channels. I would have them fix it since they did it wrong.

But if not, wire it so your front rca's are plugged into channels 1 and 2. Then make sure your front speaker wires are connected to channel 1 and 2's output. Make sure left goes with left too, ie if you hook the left rca to channel 1 make sure you hook your left speaker to channel 1.

I'm not sure what the crackling is from, it could be a bad connection (rca's, speaker wires, power). But considering that I would recommend having them fix it. Once you mess with it yourself they might say it's not their fault.
