Best budget system using factory head unit

Hello again... earlier I had asked a question about using component speakers powered by only the factory head unit on my 2004 Civic EX Sedan. I've been convinced that my factory head unit is crappy and won't do anything on its own.

Having heard that, I'm open to the possibility of using an amp. Also, I still want components or coaxials in the front, and coaxials in the rear. I really prefer Polk Audio speakers, as I can get a great deal on them in particular. Other than that, I've been looking at Infinitys and Alpines. Maybe Boston Acoustics.

Anyway, what I'm now asking is this: What is the best sounding system, for ALL types of music, that I can purchase for my car while following these criteria:

-Staying UNDER $500, pref. $400.

-I really, really, really want to keep my factory HU. No question.

-Amp (if equipped) needs to fit under the passenger seat.

-If the system has components, I want the tweeters to look relatively stock.

Overall, I just want a stealth system that will sound clearer and be louder than my stock system. I don't want to spend a lot, I don't know a lot about car audio, and it doesn't have to sound great. Just better.

install will play a big role for the component drivers. you can pick up some phoenix gold comps for cheap, a set of coax's for the rear and a decent 2-ch just about anywhere. There was a guy selling two SETS of Fusion comps on here for about $200 for both.

rule of thumb is to amp components but you CAN use HU power on coax as they typically don't need as much power.

keeps the back-seaters kinda happy.
