Best budget receiver with >3 HDMI inputs?

How much you lookin to spend? I've been doing lots of research on receivers lately, and actually just bough one yesterday. You probably need to look at the Onkyo 606 or 706...I know the 706 has 4 inputs, not sure about the 606. Do some searching on avsforum.com or audioholics.com

606 and 706 both have 4in/1out, 706 puts out more power.

the 606 is on sale, and its your best bet. it pass video and audio through the hdmi cable, so you get true hd, no need for optical cables!!

yup, 605 has 3 hdmi inputs/1 output, that also passes audio and video through the hdmi, so if your looking to spend a little, get the 605. IA2 is selling it, cool guy that owns a kick *** company.

So 4 ins and 1 out, meaning you can run 4 HDMI devices in and just one HDMI out to your tv and switch them through the reciever?

But can it decode the signal?
yes it can, thats why it puts out true hd, true 7.1, of course you need a source that can output that though.

yes sir, i have my ps3 and direct tv hd dvr connected to my onkyo (not the 606, but an onkyo) with hdmi cables and optical cables, and i can switch between sources.

i plan on selling my receiver in the spring, and getting the 606 because i bought the home theater in a box, onkyo ht-s5100, and it has 7.1, but can not decode it. so plan on swapping out receivers, but mines does have 3in/1out hdmi connections.

Ive been reading about the 606 and 706 and it hasn't been good so far, no video, blue screen, overheating, black screen...This sucks because I was almost ready to to get one! Seems to me like a full HDMI setup still has too many problems. Right now Im running 5.1 with HD cable box, HDMI Xbox, HDMI PS3 along with optical audio. I have a 4 year old Onkyo receiver and I have 0 issues.
