Best Audio Brands

I've been under the impression that the best...

headunit=alpine (alpine and pioneer are the only 2 headunits proven not to skip)

full range speaker=boston acoustics (reproduces sounds perfectly)

amp=rockford fosgate (pure power)

sub=kicker square (pounds like no other)

Is this true or is there better equipment... also what about bose aren't they suppose to be pretty good... I haven't heard of many people having after market bose systems in their vehicles.

what do yall think?

first and foremost, there is absolutely NO BEST. im leaving out a ton of brands but...

headunits: alpine, pioneer, clarion, nakamichi, eclipse, and a couple more i cant think of at 3am.

speakers: boston, arc, dls, rainbow, dynaudio, id, focal, and many more.

amp: arc, zapco, macintosh, brax, genesis, tru, dls, blah blah blah...

sub: depends on ur goals.

Bose ain't all that bad, my moms new cady has a stock bose system and it rocks loud man! And it's extremley clear, you can't fight that. But there home audio is way overrated. They got there name out there and thats why everyone, who knows nothin', thinks they are amazing...

subs- pyramid or blitz

lol yeah right.....well if someone was to give there parent company a few million to get the technology needed to step there game up....maybe they can design something to rival high end brands ............i must be dreaming

Yeah i dont mean to come out of no where but bose does not **** for home audio at least the 201 series and up (i must be a metro ******). The cubes are a different story for full range. It might be a better idea to give him a least of the most prominent shitty brands like legacy, pryamid, jensen, audiovox, blitz, dual, pyle, and sony and others that i cannot think of right now.

Sound is completley subjective which is what makes this hobby so awesome. Everyone has different likes and hears things differently. My personal preferences....

HU: Alpine, Eclipse, Clarion

Spkrs: MB QUart, Focal, Boston Acoustic

Amps: PPI, Soundstream

Subs: JL Audio, Kicker (Solo Baric)

I am personally into sound quality as opposed to spl so those are not necessarily the loudest but some of the cleanest amongst the many other brands that are out there.

amps: zapco, brax, McIntosh

subs: too many to list.

all of these things are very opinionated. those brands that i listed happen to be what i like. they may not be what someone else thinks is the best. that is the beauty of this hobby is that there simply is no best because nobody can tell you what sounds good to you. it is like women, some guys like hefty chicks, others dont, some like red heads, others like blondes. it is all what you think sounds best to your ears.

Head units would be Eclipse and the Pioneer ODR gear (UK only)

OK, first off, Pyramid's hyper pro subs are EXCELLENT for the $30/sub price tag. They also have an amp that will do an honest 1600 RMS, but I've yet to find it what model. Every else you should avoid.

Bose does make good stuff. $800 car sound system good? Hell no. They are like Audiobahn: good, but insanely overpriced.

Jensen USED to make good amps, I have one of them.

Uhmm... anyway.

Amps: Incriminator Audio

Subs: Incriminator Audio, Kicker, JL, RE, Oz

You'll notice I only put one brand down for amps. Yeah, have you seen what the 20.1 does? Holy ****.
