Best amp for 1 sundown audio SA 12?

To help OP with his power worries, I had an SA-15 on a BRX 2400 at two ohms so it was rated for 1600 (though take that with some heavy heavy skepticism because it's hifonics the very definition of entry level) my gain was set as high as possible without distortion (not all the way up lol) and my SA woofer barely ever got warm to the touch. It will take whatever you throw at it man! Also for your amp kit CERTIFIED BASSHEAD 1/0 100% SILVER TINNED OFC AMP INSTALL KIT - Down4Sound Shop JP is an amazing guy with great products //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I can vouch for Knu....as I use their products.

Def get OFC amp kit. Might be a tad bit more $$ but def worth it in the longrun and prevent issues later on down the road. Some people spend a lot on good quality equipment but skimp out on amp kits and big 3 items.

The one you listed was OK but it needed some stuff... for $100 I'd hope to get a complete install kit... Wire, RCA's, remote wire, some speaker wire, fuse and block... maybe I'm just tryin' to save a buck too hard... LOL!.. $120 is worth it even if you only have to do it once... I'm sure you'll find a kit for that... a shop might mark it up a lot or worse... use CCA like I do... I hear it from other members all the time about my wire... I'll change it next year... LOL!

yeah its plenty, back of cab is shorter than to a trunk in a car if im correct

didnt know it took 0 gauge, if it takes 0 gauge inputs get a 0 gauge kit. you're saving some good money on the amp so its worth it

Was wondering why 4 gauge wiring kit came up as I too thought the CAB had 1/0 inputs and I was right. Shredder can confirm this.

I would suggest getting an OFC kit with everything included, also RCA's.

Ok so I have a few more questions.

1. Where should I set the gain at on this amp starting out since I'm going to be running it at 1 ohm on just a single SA 12?

2. What is this "B stock" that car audio bargan offers? There SA 12s are the cheapest I've seen.

3. This amp will accept 0 gage wire correct?

I hope I'm not getting in over my head with this system lol.

Depending on budget a cab ultra 12 would pair nicely with the amp. Basically a triple stacked sa. And for wire yes a kit can work or you can get the parts seperatly and instead of paying for a kit hungband find good deals in nice stuff. And for power wire here's my .02

Beats name brand 1:0 car audio brand wire and is pure ofc for 2.25 a foot. Not going to beat it anywhere price wise for what your getting.

Yes it will take 0 ga wire... as far as setting gains start at zero and bring it up slowly until it blends with your highs... then refer to post #23 ... I HOPE your loudness is off and EQ/boost is off on your H/U when you set levels... it's easy and you'll get it quick...

I'm going to be running stock door speakers, tweeters and the stock head unit in my truck as well. Will that matter? My installer said something about installing something to match the volume my sub puts out it was like $100

It only matters if you want your bass to blend in with the other aspects of the music, like mids and highs lol. Most kids your age don't put a lot of thought in to anything other than their bass stage and there isnt anything wrong with that. I am just now getting old enough to care, I've had blown door speakers for years haha. I won some JL components at a show, and I am about to put them in and enjoy the music as soon as I get a decent amp for them.

lol I'm almost 30 years old just a kid at heart. Surely I could keep the bass turned down enough to not over power my mods and highs
