Best amp for 1 sundown audio SA 12?

Going to be running a single SA 12 D2 in my truck and I'm looking for amps. I haven't bought the sub yet but I'm pretty sure this is what I'm going to go with. It will be in a 1.85 cubic ft box tuned to 35 hertz. I was looking at the sundown sae 1000 amp to go along with it they seem to sell for around $300 or so, but I've heard some good things about hifonics amps as well and they seem to be a lot cheaper would like to keep things under $350.

Wouldn't the cab 1600 be a little to much for the SA 12 at 1 ohm? That's 1600rms
At 2 ohm that amp puts out around 1200... just get a 12-d4... and there is the future to consider... I've very rarely seen anyone that has installed a system and have stayed with the same setup forever... LOL!.. car audio seems to start by only wanting a little but quickly changes into an obsession for some... IDK how many relatively new installs I've redone for someone who was either limited on budget or just was initially only looking for "a little"... just an opinion/observation of mine... BTW... that box in the other thread has how much port... it does look a little small... IDK...

In a perfect world it's 1600. After box rise your lucky if you get close. Plus that sa can take a clean 1k+ all day like a champ. Get set gains low and take it easy on the sub and if you ever want another you'd have enough power on tap

So would it be better to buy a SA 12 4 ohm and run the amp to it at 2 ohms? That would be 1200rms I believe then if I ever wanted to add another 12 I could just run both at 1 ohm for 1600 rms? Is this what you guys are saying. Sorry this will be my first ever system

Yeah, saw it before... it's not optimum... that's for sure... could it work... yes... is it the right/best box for your application?.. IDK... have you looked into having one built yet?

That seems to be the theme lately around here... yes... you are planning ahead... thinking smart... I learned the hard way and it cost me $$$ in the long run... it does have a pretty good sized footprint tho...

I already have the box ordered so that's out of the question lol. I haven't looked into having a custom one built I would like to think this would be ok though. I'm not trying to enter a sound comp or anything I just want some decent bass in my truck while driving my 100 commute to work.

Would the sa 12 be ok on 1200rms at 2 ohms?

And so the story begins... LOL!

Yes... you'll not get the full 1200 anyways due to other factors

Thanks man so 1 SA 12 4 ohm and 1 cab 1600.1 should do the trick. About to order these as well do you think my factory charging system will be ok with this setup? If you would do something different let me know man that's why I came here and asked.

It's a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel truck already has 2 battery's but that's mainly because it's a diesel.
