True bass 8's are nice too, but the dual 2's would laugh at that power. The dual 4's though, they might work considering they have a lower power handling.

does anyone know if the sundown sa-8 will be musical or only around 40hrz range music.i want to look for a badd 8" to play sum jeezy and gorilla zoe

they should get pretty nasty loud/low.

Take a look at Elemental Designs E3.8's or find some 9 kv.2's. In a small ported box They will play plenty low and sound amazing. I've got a pair of 7 kv.2's and they don't' hesitate to get low. and they are just 6 1/2's. http://www.edesignaudio.com
