Anyone know the rec. sealed box for an 18'' RE XXX, 2005?

Getting mine in the mail tomorrow and I am going to run it sealed in my teg, I don't have the room for ported.

Standard 4 cubes sealed as most 18s like?

Anyone know for sure?

Anyone have experience with a 05' XXX RE 18'' sealed?

Going to run the sub with 1500-1800 watts.......

Mine sounded great in 4.4cuft sealed. 4cuft after disp is perfect for that sub. If you ever get rid of it, let me know

All black basket(12 spoke), push pin terminals, original dustcap, 8 layer coil......

Yep, 4 cubes sealed was recommended. Id recommend 4-4.5 cubes.

Any idea what frequency it will peak at with 4 cubes?

Oh, and do you know the mounting depth and displacement by chance?

Depth was right around 10" iirc. Disp, I'm not sure about, but build it about 4.5-4.8 before sub, and you'll be fine. Actually, Audioholic was the one who gave me the idea of box size when I had mine. I trust his input

displacement is .22 iirc, and as far as where it will peak, we cant tell you really, you will only be able to find that out by putting it on the termlab.

In a sealed enclosure, its gonna peak where your vehicle's resonant frequency occurs. .22 sounds closer to correct for displacement than does .4, as my 15's are .18 iirc.

my box was 4.45 cubes + .25 for displacement, so 4.70 cubes total

I have the 15 sounded awesome when my amp was working. Ill be looking out for a second also.
