best 6x9's

i currently dont have any subs in my car. i am using a mtx blue thunder amp to push my 6X9's. what would be the best 6X9's i could get for excellent bass, w/o a sub. i was going to go with kenwood excelon 690's? i had some polk dbs in there, but the bass is gone. whats your take? i was also informed that 2 ways are the better way to go?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

if its the blue thunder pro 752......get cheap junk. its a weak amp
