Best 600-800 watt subs?

What are the best subwoofers in the 600-850 watt range? I want something for my MTX jackhammer JH600 amp (600w RMS @ 2 ohms). I would like as much output as possible, and something better than the Kicker L5 12" I am upgrading from.

I have the vented Kicker box that the L5 came in, so a L7 12" will fit and cost less...is that a good choice compared to other 12's? Also been thinking about the JL 13W6, Alpine type R 12/15", or some really good 10's. What's the best option?

Buuuut re-reading your post, if the box you have is of decent quality, build and tuning, IMO upgrading to an L7 and a 1,000 watt amp should definately net you more bass than any of the other subs on 600 Watts.

That is a gorgeous sub, I'm just afraid he won't get the loudness he wants by sticking with that 600 watt amp.

Everyone forgot obsidian audio 12s a sa12. Both imo are better than the 12 inch solos. The oas r on pre order for 119. I have two oa 12s and they get down will handle nearly double the rated power if its good and clean power. They sound great too. Type rs are big around here and i hands down beat them all in sq and spl. One guy around here has four type r tens that get louder than my two,12 s but he wants to switch to obsidian 12s. I have heard nothing but good about the sudown sa-12s only heard one of those on about 1000 and it was real impressive.

No worries as long as he goes vented. The TC2+ platform is amazing.
