best 4-5KW amp? suggestions?

I had one and I was fine... I do have the 250A alt though, and I was only running it at 4 ohms
I asked this question on another thread and didnt get an answer....

Ok the HK doesnt do its rated power at 2 ohm 3600 rms.. So lets say it does 3krms

The orion 2500D, say its underrated and also does 3krms.

The orion is more expensive, why should I buy the orion over the HK if I am being careful with the HK and not trying to get a million watts? I am thinking I messed up by selling my HK and trying to get a better name amp...
i recall seeing a test done on here showing the orion 2500d actually performing better than an hk 4000d all around. kind of ironic

i owned a 4kw and ran it at 1 ohm and was throughly impressed. if you're doing

.5ohm id say go with a 40.1, i THINK i recall seeing them fairly stable at .5ohm.

otherwise if you go with any other 5kw amp rated at 1ohm, you're gonna need a hell of an electrical backign to keep it stable at 1 ohm, even the atomic.

My vote is for the Memphis 4kw even @.5 in daily if you have the electrical, Belive me I REALLY miss mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Just looked back, I am happy to hear this. This is what I AM going with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

But let me ask this, please excuse the ignorance guys, I asked this a little while back and lost the thread.

If I do not have 0 gauge inputs on amp what is the best way to hook it up when I have a batt in back?

Reason I ask, is say I need 300Amps, say a 4 gauge wire cannot handle 300 amps. I have 2 runs of 0 gauge to the back but it just seems useless with the big 3 and the 0 gauge when I have a run of 4 gauge to the amp.

Please explain/
