Best 2ohms 10" subs for this box?

Was about to say the same thing. That box is junk. What will get you louder/lower is a custom made ported enclosure and some/a new sub(s).

Totally, sealed boxes are huge bottlenecks. Imo if you use a sealed box, different subs within the same class pretty much all sound the same and will have barely 1db in output differences.

Ported boxes bring out the best sound, imo

Ditch the Kickers and buy a B stock SA 12 and have a custom made ported box, 1.75cu/ft tuned to 33hz with an aeroport. Better output, better sq, still get to keep trunk space, not a lot of $$$.
You got a link for that woofer?

Let me ask, what does a box like that cost and who should I get to build it?

your in Houston? How did you manage to survive Harvey?
My place didn't flood. A lot of the area around me did. Even today, the west side all along the i10 corridor is still blocked off. I ended up taking in some kittens just out of pity. I got 4 kittens up for adoption if anybody is interested, just let me know.

B-Stock SA12 * B-Stock* Sundown Audio SA-12 600W SA Series - Car Audio Bargain

CAB Ultra 12 * NEW * CAB-ULTRA-12 12" 750W SUBWOOFER - Car Audio Bargain

I'm not sure about the price and where to get it from but a few years back there was a guy on here that could have made it and shipped it for no more than $200. If you're in Houston there should be a ton of shops that can build it for you. Aeroport boxes are really easy to make, if you can get a design made, go to your local lumber shop (NOT Home Depot or Lowes) and get a sheet of mdf cut down to the sizes you need and glue and screw it together. The only tools you really need are a drill and a jigsaw, it helps to have long bar clamps too but those aren't totally necessary.

There are a few shops who build them right on my side of town, but they're gonna want a lot more than 200. I don't have a garage or anywhere to work on something like that. If you can find that guy, let me know.

Wow, you lucked out. Go play the lottery. Too bad I already got 3 cats...lol...had them since they were kittens.

you could prob find someone on CL or Offerup see if they build boxes. They usually advertise them. but...being your city is in such a dire disaster, not sure if anybody is even doing that. Just a though. Even car audio shops should be able to build you a box but it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to get you one.

I've built a box in the living room of a small apartment...just sayin.
lol same here...except in a small bedroom. Course I cut all the wood with my jigsaw at the time, then just assembled it inside. Or if there's a balcony/back porch, that's ideal too, if it's nice outside.

yeah tahoe right i founf a guy that makes boxes on offerup here, never met with him and he didn't really know how to do a good ported box but if u get a good design from net or us and give it to guy like that u could get 1 done for like $120..

That appears to be a downloadable software. I may download and try and fiddle with it.
Intro: Modeling Subwoofers with WinISD

What I'm getting from your post is results of the different subs aren't much different so using 2ohm subs wouldn't make much difference either due to the box space?
I'm looking at one aspect of speaker performance, frequency response, in software and not in the real world. This is for a general idea of what to expect.

The change to lower impedance will help as you have an amplifier that's capable of producing more power.

Another question. Why'd you used .7 cu ft, when the box we were looking has an air space or 1.4?
The volume thing was an error. Even so, once adjusting the volume to 1.4 cu ft the differences in predicted SPL remain.

I found out my friend's box is ported. I don't know if it's because of the car or the quality, but it doesn't sound too good. Everything vibrates, it doesn't even hit hard and I still hear more vibration and stuff rattling than I hear bass.

Vibrations and rattles will mask the "true" sound of the music and ruin the fun. A well executed ported subwoofer setup will sound wonderful and get reasonably loud at the same time. However, if the car is talking as it gets excited by the sound pressure that matter must be addressed. I went through this myself and ended up mostly sealing off the trunk from the cabin and the ported subwoofer is now facing the front of the vehicle, located directly behind the rear seats. This approach is not always an option.
