Does the label on the magnet say 43C104 in yellow?I believe they're kicker comp 4ohms. Just entry level comp without any letter.
I modeled Kicker 43C104 in WinISD Pro Alpha 0.50a7(a very common free program for this purpose) to generate graphs for comparison. The other 10" subwoofers I used are Rockford Fosgate P2D4-10 and CDT Audio HD-1000CF. The enclosure volume is all roughly 0.7 cu ft, with 500W of power and an 80 Hz low pass filter. It does.
That appears to be a downloadable software. I may download and try and fiddle with it. What I'm getting from your post is results of the different subs aren't much different so using 2ohm subs wouldn't make much difference either due to the box space?I modeled Kicker 43C104 in WinISD Pro Alpha 0.50a7(a very common free program for this purpose) to generate graphs for comparison. The Kickers are louder by an amount that would equal a few clicks or digits on the volume control. The CDT's sound excellent from my own experience and I suspect the RFs would be a balance of loudness at low frequencies plus good tonality.
dude gp car audio told me he do a ported 12 box for me for $200.. so that amp make sub louder?Thing about it is that's gonna cost a lot. That's $350 for the box, another $150 for the 12. That's like $500 So I was looking into the more convenient options of simply swapping out those sub for some type of swallow mount or something that doesn't require a whole lot of air space. For example the punch p2 10"s only require 1 cubic foot each, (If I read that correctly) wouldn't that work well with what I have?
.7 per sub dude =1.4., he modeled 1 in .7cf so he knows how it'll do in that much air if u have 2 subs it'll just be twice as loud as the 1 has already checked.. u need 1 10 ported 12 would be better but 1 nice 10 even at 2 ohms with that amp will be louder..That appears to be a downloadable software. Another question. Why'd you used .7 cu ft, when the box we were looking has an air space or 1.4?
What up G?!dude gp car audio told me he do a ported 12 box for me for $200.. so that amp make sub louder?
2 ohm subs wouldn't do any better in that air space?.7 per sub dude =1.4., he modeled 1 in .7cf so he knows how it'll do in that much air if u have 2 subs it'll just be twice as loud as the 1 has already checked.. u need 1 10 ported 12 would be better but 1 nice 10 even at 2 ohms with that amp will be louder..
well it's the box, i'm getting same power to mine u are but to 1 12" ported sub i bet it's at least twice as loud as your 2 subs sealed.. if u get a box made (not at a shop) for $150-$200 tuned at 35-38hz, cause small sealed boxes only play down to like 55hz at best anyway so u could tune to 38hz and be very happy with how much deeper it is and tons louder.. just get a nice 10" sub (12 much better) idk if it's a skar ddx they cheap (your amp tested over 900rms @2ohm) it'll push heck outta a ported 10.. look on cl in your area see what ported boxes are fs., theres a 12 box 60 miles from me $60 it's tuned at 38hz or i'd have it already dude had a $1k sundown in it double baffle and all but tuned to high for me but u maybe able to find good one cheap.. just pm me links to any ported box u find i'll let u know if it's worth buying (nothing that says q logic or q bomb).... whats your gain lp xover and everything set at and how many volts does your hu have again? u need to go into profile and list your equipment in signature so we know what u working with..What up G?!
Yeah, I'm getting a little more bang out of them. However my are subs being 4 ohms. So I'm not getting the full power of it. Also the little box and the weak woofers probably ain't helping.
Thanks for explaining the air space.
Tuning the box? See I didn't know the box had to be tuned. How the hell do you tune a box? I didn't install it, I don't have the equipment to tune the amp or fish the wire for the bass knob. I haven't played with the gain yet, but the installer told me it was about halfway. Does adjusting the gain knock the amp out of tune?well it's the box, i'm getting same power to mine u are but to 1 12" ported sub i bet it's at least twice as loud as your 2 subs sealed.. if u get a box made (not at a shop) for $150-$200 tuned at 35-38hz, cause small sealed boxes only play down to like 55hz at best anyway so u could tune to 38hz and be very happy with how much deeper it is and tons louder.. just get a nice 10" sub (12 much better) idk if it's a skar ddx they cheap (your amp tested over 900rms @2ohm) it'll push heck outta a ported 10.. look on cl in your area see what ported boxes are fs., theres a 12 box 60 miles from me $60 it's tuned at 38hz or i'd have it already dude had a $1k sundown in it double baffle and all but tuned to high for me but u maybe able to find good one cheap.. just pm me links to any ported box u find i'll let u know if it's worth buying (nothing that says q logic or q bomb).... whats your gain lp xover and everything set at and how many volts does your hu have again? u need to go into profile and list your equipment in signature so we know what u working with..
I need that wire buried under the carpet. With my kids and all the freaking people getting in and out of my car, that wire won't last a week before it pulled or kicked or something. The installer said he tuned it where it doesn't go up past a certain volume or something. IDKwow just run sub volume across the seat i did, never tucked it anywhere just sits between seat and arm rest.. a ported box is tuned to certain freq based on how big box is how big and long port it., u will not learn about ported box in a few days it takes awhile.. sealed is just sealed larger box plays deeper but won't handle as much power before sub bottoms out.. if gain is about 1/2 that maybe to high if the jensen does even 4v shouldn't be that high.. don't turn hu volume past 75% of max don't use any or not much bass boost to keep power clean..
under clipping level is what he's saying.. if u set gain to high and turn volume to high u get clipped signal and amp will get real hot or shut off or subs will blowI need that wire buried under the carpet.
