not sure what channel or class amp im looking for

but if i have $550 to spend on 2 amps-- whatever amount of power i can get outta that in a decent amp

bro I suggest you just got spend about 2-4 hours crusing the install, amplifier, and sub sections of this forum just to find out what everyones general opinion is, cause doing it the way you are is either
A. going to fusurate alot of people here, mainly yourself as half the people with a answer worth listening too wont bother to respond because your not asking specific questions or anything you cant use the search button for

B. Some ******* is going to have you either burn your car to the ground or put together something that THEY like or THEY think sounds good and YOU are going to pay for it and NOT like it.

Just get a Fi BTL fully loaded (~$450) and a Crunch GP3000D(~$450) make a 4 cube ported enclosure, and spend the rest on electrical. Ex: HO Alternator, aux battery, 1/0 wiring.

when you say 2 amps, your talking about a front stage and a sub stage amp I hope, no need to clutter things and complicate wiring when you can just get one big *** amp and drool on the **** thing
