best 15' sub

okay guys i need some help, im lookin for what u guys think would the best 15' sub on the market... now im not a millionaire but do have some money saved up. im really lookin for SPL but yet keepin it clear and having good SQ. i have a 07 tahoe and plan on havin 2 15's in a ported box. now some one suggested the Fi BTL which seams like a good sub from what ive researched. also a friend told me i may need a new alternator if i want to have 2 15's.. is that true?

How much power do you plan to run to the 15's? That will help determine what subs to get and what electrical upgrades will be required...

Yes, if you have the power to push 2 15 BTLs then you will most likely have to upgrade a lot of things. Such as batteries in back, HO alt. Big 3. That's the basic of it.

If you don't have a amp yet. Keep in mind, it's better to pick out an amp first than subs. and upgrade your front stage before your sub stage. But i'm pretty sure you already know that.

If you lookin for something nice and basic so that can run your factory alt. I would suggest 2 15sdc on an 1200 aq amp or 2 15s fi Q on a 2200 AQ amp
