Great amp but look at the money u pay for the **** thing

If I needed a 1000 watt amp I would pay it. What it can do with rise and voltage drop, nothing else can touch it or get close. It's a current hog though

I agree on the jl tough as hell and puts out way more than rated i got my two for 225 a piece and never had a problem

JL smokes it. RF amps only do power at 1 and 2 ohms. JL does 1.5-4. RF only does it at 14.4. JL does all the way down to 12.4 or lower.

Lol u bass heads! The best 1000 watt monoblock ive heard so far is an xtant x1001 or TRU Tech billet series. The power is just far cleaner on these amps IMO.

I installed one of those, yes it's pretty awesome.

I've seen JL monoblocks work all the way down to 9v (which you should never do). Is your homie a cheap azz or does he have some money to spend? Audiopipe's APSM-1500 is decent if you're absolutely broke as a joke, otherwise look for Rockford's T1000-1 or Phoenix Gold's TI1500.1 or SD1300.1
