cutouts are for 10" subs

You can change a cut out. You should change it. The 2 cubes is really less then 2 cubes. 8s will be better then 10s.

so i could reduce the cutout to 8's ported or seal the ports and use the enclosure sealed with 10's. which would hit harder, chest pounding kick drums, musicly

an sa-10 would work in 1 cube

thye like smaller ported on 1500 to 2k would sound nice

maybe a twisted 1.8

ssd 10s would be perfect in 1 cube

i would opt for the ssd but there is a build time

Space makes bass. That is all that needs to be said. A ported 10 is best in 1.25-1.5 cubes. Anything less will kill efficiency

not true thats all Dependant on sub. tc9 subs are historically built for 1.5 cube for a 12. the sd3-10 is designed to work in a 1 cube ported enclosure for example
