The only thing being done here is reducing the sub cut out from a 10" sub to an 8" subwoofer. Also by doubling up the baffle will stiffen the box where the sub mounts. Its really no big dealYou should have just went to a reputable shop and had them build a box. Many would also help you di it yourself. I agree with the concerns on that box. Hope it works out buddy.

I and everyone else, should see no more than 2 holes in that enclosure. why is there 4?
exactly like i said. foxacoustics is also a very reputable company. just make sure you re seal those well when you put them back on. No leaks. the sub holes where purp places in sputs where they could put the extra mounting depth under the seat.
You sure you don't want more than 1/2 inch of clearance for vent cooling. I would throw the baffles on.
