I ordered the new E5 sub from eD and the first one had leaks around where the surround was glued to the basket. They sent me a new one and where the cone attached to the VC it completely separated/broke with a JL 500/1, I was pushing it hard but seriously I have never had a sub break so easily. I am sending them both back an hoping I get my money back or a different model. I am looking into these other subs for SQL. It will go into a 1.2 cubed box tuned to 35 hz with 22 inches of port area run by a 500/1

RE SE 10

IDQ V3 10

Boston G5 10

Audioque SDC2.5 10

I know that it is a higher tuning but my car has a real boost/peak around 34-36 hz and a 30 hz tuning just made it worse. A 35 hz tuning in this car sounds like a 27 hz tuning in my last car.

The RE SE will be a nice match for that enclosure. Any step away from eD is a step in the right direction though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

If depth isn't a concern, what a Mach5 IXL 10"? Wait...you were considering the Boston g5, so depth can't be a concern. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The Mach 5 IXL 10's recommended enclosure is almost exactly what you have already and it'll handle that 500/1 with ease.
