bent sub frame? help plz :)

my sub appears to be bent, one side t he screws screw all the way in and the other side they dont they jsut start digging wood up instead of going in after getting about 1/8 of an inch from screwing all the way in? waht can i do abot this?

i can get some tommorow when im off work... when its out of box it doesnt appear to be noticible but ive tried several differnt screws of varring sizes and threads and all have smae effect.

if i wasnt off of work i could try making a jig with mic 6 aluminium plate mount the sub in it and draw it down with bolts. probly would work with mdf too.it's a cast frame right?,might crack it.

yeah its a cast its not bent hardly any at all but at the farthest end it makes enough difference... i have it rigged with some paper towels right now to seal the air in around it got some shoved under it...

partsexpress used to sell speaker sealing compound (black gooey stuff) but i think they dont sell it any more.It would work for ya

Either use that, or you can use weather stripping and silicone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I've used weather stripping / silicone before for air leaks like that when I didn't have a sub gasket and it worked great.

The thing at parts express looks to be like weather stripping, you can find something very similar at home depot / lowes next to the garage door weather stripping. They have circular and flat foam and rubber, all self adhesive. Just something to look into if you don't wanna wait on shipping.

I bought 20 ft the other day, they come in 10 ft. rolls and are about $4 a roll here.

the sealing calk and sealing tape from partsexpress are different items the foam tape would work but imo the calk they have would be better for his needs
