or slots.

what is the common rule when judging port area for subs with aeros

i have 2 12" small fi x series 400 watts subs im going to modify my 2.0 gross interior 15" box's i have for my oz 15's and make baffle for a 12. but i dont no what size aero i need for 1 12 in probably 1.9 net. im adding exterior ports. and will vent to rear deck probably. but i have 2 individual 15" boxs

ty.

For aeroport setups I calculate port area off of cone area. There was a formula floating around this board a while back but I'm too lazy to search for it. For a single 12 w/ low power I would use a single 4" port. For higher power spl oriented setups use two 4" ports or a single 6" port per 12" sub.

well mobeious designed the box so if it needed more port area wouldnt he of put another aero in it or wat

and if i want to i can always go and add another port in it if i really need it

and i will loose .16cuft of airspace and will i gain anything with another 6" aero how much louder would it be or would i not notice it

idk i havent heard ur setup. just the diff in mine. ur ports would be much much longer if u used two instead of one. go get metered and ill tell u if ur box is doin the numbers it should. i just know mine blew on any thing under 38hz but the slot peaked at 37 and was much louder to the ear.

yea i couldnt of really went with 2 6" aeros since the aeros would of been around 23.5 long and the box is only 26.5 long inside so only would of gave around 3 inches between the box and the port doubt that would work that good

the box dimensions are 32 tall 28 deep and 13.5 wide thats external and the subs are facing the roof and port is firing back

so one 6 inch aero would of been the only possible way i think

so being around 5.2net tuned at 33-34hz on 1500rms in a f150 truck wat should i be doing on the TL

extended cab i assume? i saw a guy yest. do a 145 at the headrest with 4 8's and 1200 watts. i saw a guy do a 145 with 1500 watts and 1 15. so idk man get it done at the headrest and tell us.

its in a f150 king ranch with the bucket seats and console in the back i removed the console and have a box back there that sits between the rear seats with subs towards the roof and port firing towards the back wall

if i turned the box around where the port firward forward i bet it would be louder or no it wouldnt?

are you familar with the kind of truck and the way the box is in the truck or do i need pics to help explain better
