Benefit of using aero ports?

My current box has a slot port with 36sq in of port area. Im thinking about building a new box with a single 6" aero port or 2 4" aero's. Should i benefit in anyway with the aero?

i've never been able to hear a difference between aero's and a slot port, but i work with less power also. i find aero's easier to use, especially if i'm not working with a square box.

My setup is for street bass too no comps. I have no complaints about slot ports i was just curious becuase they seem pretty popular.

they're gaining popularity because they are so much easier to use. you can switch out daily or comp tuning easier with aeros then making an interchangeable slot port. also saves you some space too.

u also have to sacrifice port area if u want a lower tuning......

The big benefits to round ports is they take up less displacement and are easier to adjust tuning. The downside is the added cost. You might gain a few tenths switching from a slot to round port but there are many variables. If you're not competing and looking for every last tenth then IMO its not worth the change.

so if someone suggested i make a 2.3 cube slot port with 36 inches of port area tuned to 34 hz, could i get away with making an aero port box smaller and get the same results?

if so, what would all that translate too in an aero box?

1. Space (install dependent).
   
2. Ability to change tuning easily.
   
3. Can go above 10% mach on vent velocity and not experience much port noise.

i am running an aero and they are nice since they take up less space and no port noise and some say they are slightly louder
