beer pong, anyone?

well, in the fall my roommates and i will have a whole room dedicated to beerpong. and being the creative builder i am, and one of my roommates being an engineering major, we are trying to come up with some awesome ideas for a beer pong table.

we are thinking about making a big Texas A&M logo in the middle out of LED lights that will flash in sequence or whatever, and then put marine audio speakers IN the table firing upwards so you have music right there. good idea?

we figured having a sub connected to the table would cause it to shake WAYYY too much and mess up the cups. do yall think this sounds good or have any other ideas?

im doing a table build this summer as well. i was gonna go with neons/led's but then i decided that i dont want a table that i have to plug in. i decided to go with a "classy" beer pong table, with natural wood finish and the like. something that wouldn't look out of place next to a nice billiards table.

Either way, I don't know about speakers in the table, the LED's would require effort but wouldn't look bad.

We just bought one from bpong.com but we go out to parties a lot and that folds up into a 2x2 piece with a handle =). If I had my own place I would probally build one, yours sounds like a good idea... go for it! Build in a lil place for the balls and a dispenser for cups too =D

you must have not played much beer pong....up firing speakers is a bad idea, because they will get ruined by beer!!!!

I built mine out of 3/4 mdf, 2x4's as a frame and 4x4's as legs, however, it is not finished because I have not taken the hours of time out of my life to lay all the bottle caps in and pour the resin over them:crap:
