Battery

so i hafta wire it through my alternator? the reason im thinking about getting one is cause im running a new system in my 97 eclipse and the alternator i dont think can handle it (nor the battery)

Run a positive wire from your existing batt to a second batt and put a fuse in between them. Then ground the second battery to metal in your car. Then run positive and negative wire off of your second batt and yell for you have installed a second battery.

thanks so much that helps alot! and that applys for more than one battery correct? so id just wire all positives and then all negatives together?

The battery will only be good so long as you give it time to recharge off the alternator. This becomes a problem with small alternators and pounding the bass constantly whenever the car is moving. Best solution is a larger alternator, if you cannot afford a new alternator you can trickle charge the second battery overnight.
