battery ?

I have a kinetik hc800 battery as my second battery. Everything was installed and working correctly then all of a sudden my sub amp stopped working. I changed it out and still nothing. My assumption was that the battery up front charged my rear battery. it is hooked up that way. Both amps come on, but i am getting nothing from the 1 channel. I tried 3 amps with the same result. Does this sound like a battery issue?

no its not a batt. issue, when r u free to take a look at it?and yes the batt. up front should be connected to the rear......

Do you have an isolator installed for the batteries?

What is your voltage at the battery, engine at idle?

When you say that you tried 3 amps with the same result, do you mean all 3 did or didn't work?

@ J Robinson I'm out of town with the car this week.

When i say i tried 3 amps, I had a 750 watt Autotek hooked up. I changed it out for a 1600 watt Brutus (problem started) Thinking it was the amp i took that one back and got a 1900 watt super sport. That one didnt work. I hooked the 750 watt back up and i worked for like 4 or 5 days then stopped. all i got it highs right now. Battery is the only thing ground to another spot. I have not tried to hook it up without the second battery. My thought was it could have been a fuse issue. Changing those did not work/ I ave a 150 anl fuse for the power wire and glass 100 amp fuses in a distro going to the amps. should i eliminate that? I havent tried that yet.

I am at about 13 something volts at idle. It drops to 12 and 11 when the car is off. No isolator on the batteries.

if you only get one channel try switching your rca's maybe but if it is blowing the amps then there are a lot of possibilities

No no, the highs all work. i have 2 amps hooked up to a red top up front and a hc800 in the rear. I get nothing from the mono amps now. everything else is fine

Had a problem last year with an amp not powering up. DMM showed no power at the wire going into the amp. Turned out the glass fuse was fuxored, even though it looked perfectly fine. When I took it out one of the metal ends was loose and slipped right off.

Check/replace the fuses, or bypass temorarily just to test things out....

I fixed it. I changed the ground locations on the battery and the 2 amps. I also changed the fuses on the distro i was using. they were 100A I changed them to 60 A.
