battery terminals for multi awg wires

first off, heres a list of what wires are exactly attached to my factory battery post terminals.

on the positive + terminal is: 4awg power wire for stereo, 18/16awg foglight wire, another 4awg for voltage system, the factory wires which i believe are 12awg? AND another 4awg for the future cause im doing ghr big-3 upgrade

on the negative - side are: 18/16awg foglight wire, 4awg for voltage system, factory wires (12awg?) AND soon to be 4awg for the big three upgrade (step 1: neg to chassis).

all of my wires already have terminals on it, in order to use a battery terminal, do i have to snap off the terminals of the facotry wire, foglight wire, stereo wire, and wire it directly into the battery terminal with just its bare wire copper and tightened by an allen wrench? its just like the power/remote/speaker slots off an amp right?... where you just use an allen wrench to tighten the slot.

is it safe to use battery terminals?

http://www.cardomain.com/item/LITBCMON1 i was looking at lightning audios here, would i be able to fit in the factory wires and foglight wires into a 8awg slot?

and lastly, will i be able to put back on the factory terminals? i ask because i know i will put everything back the way it was from the factory before selling.

im brand new to these battery terminals, please bare with me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

thanks

Those would be fine.. but you can find the same thing for far cheaper than $20. I sell something like that (same amount of outputs) for $7.. its even gold plated. If you send me a PM, I can hook you up with a set.

The wires you have should fit into those slots just fine. You can put the factory terminals back on. You may have to limit the number of wires going to them.. but they'll just slide back on.

I highly recommend Johnecon2001! Great guy to deal with, good prices!

If you want another option...check out http://www.knukonceptz.com as well...I have personall experience with these and they're great!

does anyone have an example pic of a battery terminal that uses multi wires?

i also want to know if its possible to still use the regular ring terminal WITH an aftermarket battery terminal like the one above?

Yes with the knukoncetpz one you can. It has two bare wire inputs, one that accepts up to 1/0 awg and the other accepts up to 4awg. It then also have a ring terminal accceptor on top. Great terminals, I have two Sets and love them! peace

this is the one I was talking about, except in gold... or you can have that one.

i went to the audioshop today and instead, i went with this

since i already have terminals on all my wires that connected to my battery right now, i thought this would suit me more. it may not be a cleaner and flusher install as the others, but i dont show my car or anything like that.

but then, im having a hard time with my factory wires. they have a really tall terminal and it takes up the entire battery negative and positive post. would it be ok to snap that off and crimp on a ring style terminal instead? i dunno what guage wire the factory battery wires are, but any idea what it might be? its a 2001 honda civic.

Just put crimp rings on all of your wires and remove anything else that is on them from the stock items. You should be able to use that post no problem then.
