1 terminal cup for DVC woofer

I have a DVC woofer that I am thinking about putting in a box with only 1 terminal cup, and running both sets of wires from the two voice coils on the woofer to the same terminal cup. Then connecting one set of wire from the outside of the terminal cup to the amp. Is this bad?

Well if I run 1 set of wire from each voice coil to 1 terminal cup with 2 wires sharing each post on the inside of the cup, and it's a dual 4ohm sub, would that present a 2ohm load? IE, would it be the same as if I had 2 terminal cups and had each set of wire from each voice coil going to each terminal cup? Is there any increased danger of shorting or inefficiency, etc by sharing a post on the terminal cup like that? Just wanted to make sure....
