i have a 2004 ford explorer, and im keeping my stock battery, and also putting a kinetik hc2400 in the back, got a memphis mcd2500 and alpine 4 chnl, which equals about 3000wrms. plz dont call me a noob on account of my post count, ive been with ecoustics for awhile, and i just need a real quick response.

so heres the questoin.

Do i need a battery isolator?? for my stock + a hc2400?? i run the 2 amps off seperate amp kits, so i would not connect the 8awg kit to kinetik, jus the main battery. jus the 0awg kit. also, i have a 240a ho alt. from iraggi with the big three.

You don't have to, but I chose to run a 200amp relay from stinger on my setup to keep the 2nd battery seperate from the stock batt. up front because the stock batt. voltage was lower than the second...

so jus 2 fuses from the stock battery positive to the kinetik positive, and ground both in a differnt place. ??? do i hook the ho alt onto both batteries for the big three??? or jus the kinetik??

you can run a charging lead to the back battery if you want. in spl it gained me. but daily I really don't think it is needed. as long as you ahve the big 3 in 1/0 and 1/0 to the 2400 you should be fine.

yeah this is for daily. let me see if i have this right.

big three to the stock battery.

big three to the kinetik. so i dont need to connect the stock battery and hc at all???? im really sorry if im hard headed to this, batteries are not my strong point

what if i just, bought the 2400 for my everything battery?? cause it will fit in the stock location?? i think that would be alot easier.. and i have a battcap400 and jus keep that too...what yall think??

He's saying keep the stock battery under the hood and get the Kinetik 2400 for the back too.

Is it really necessary to ground the back battery directly to the front battery like the Kinetik instructions say to do? I was planning to ground it to the same place my amp is grounded. Is that wrong?
