battery problem

well.. my battery died yesterday and i jump started it to get home, parked in my garage, and i wasnt able to start it again. I checked the voltage with the car off and its still at 12.65. is my battery dead or is there another potential problem i should be looking at?

voltage dont dont always mean everything..... might not have the amps...

Have someone try to start it while you are testing the voltage. Got a feeling that it will drop like a rock as soon as the key is turned.
