Battery power

That thing is a tank... no, it is made for a tank, for real. If it will power a tank, I think you are just fine. LOL. That is one bad mamajama. How much is that thing? Post back with results when you use it.

well they cost over $400 but im not sure if they still have these. I picked it up real cheap tho to say the least. I just need a big bad mamajama amp to run on it. It was very very heavy and a struggle getting it in the trunk believe me lol

yes, will let u know how i get on with it thanx

why make new threads over the same thing every hour or day? bump up your old thread....didnt someone already say it was comparable to another enersys battery?

pc2250?

tank battery specs ...........................vs......................PC2250

Nominal Voltage 12V .......................................... 12V

Electrical Capacity 120Ah (20 Hour) .................... 126AH (20 hour)

110Ah (10 Hour)................................................... 114AH (10 hour)

CCA (S.A.E) 1225A................................................ 1125A

Reserve Capacity 240 Minutes................................240 minutes

Overall Length 10.51” (267 mm) Max.....................11.26"

Overall Width 11.26” (286) mm Max...................... 10.59"

Overall Height 9.05” (230 mm) Max........................9.17"

PC2250 specs are here http://www.odysseyfactory.com/battspecs.html

Arma safe is here http://www.enersys.com/defense/documents/Tank-manual.pdf

both are links off of http://www.enersys.com/

People DO USE the pc2250 in their set ups if you go here or termpro.com or USACI's forum and ask about a PC2250 battery you would/should get the info you are asking about as they seem to be VERY simular, not trying to be a dick but if you ask a different way to get the info you want may work better than asking about the same thing over and over again.

and for the record..i was not being a dick, just trying to help you get something answered in a round about way you would actually get help with rather than just asking about a tank battery...they might not be exactly the same but going off the specs they should be reasonably close

bigger probbably even bigger than the kinetik 3800..hard to say how good it directly is because CCA and CA specs do not break down smoothly into an audio specification becase those specs are run down to 7.2 volts for 30 seconds without a care about how long the voltage stays above a level that an audio system can use. That is why i suggested to ask about the 2250

I apologize audiolife, I wasn't tryin to be a dick either. Thanx for ur info tho, I appreciate it and yes, will not make anymore dbl posts again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This battery weighs 45kg man, seriously its very heavy for the trunk. Cant wait to test it out later

they would not be legal in street SPL rules but they are legal in Bass Race and SS/extreme classes in db drag..if just for daily use then dont worry about rules other than saftey

Well after looking at the specs, I am not so sure this think is not more like having 2 Yellows:

The Ah rating of only 120 is much lower than I would have thought. Heck and HC2400 is a 128Ah battery. And it is only rated for 350 cycles? Kinetiks are rated for 500 cycles and as audiolife can tell you, there are some that have been pushed well past that number. Even the HC3800 is bigger at 13.25 x 11 x 7 in.

From that picture alone, it did look very big at first glance. Now I am not sure if it is as impressive as I thought it was originally.

BTW, how cheap is dirt in your area OP?

I paid £40 = to $60 usd. I have just tryed it and its fine. I will be upgrading my starter battery 1st before I pound on this battery and will buy a multimetre to check the voltage before I use it and during its use. The guy I bought it from also had a smaller kinetic and was asking for $30 for it and he was not a car audio man at all, just some 1 having a clear out. It was also one heavy battery and was very small. I should have taken that other battery from him also. I will pm him and see if he still has it.

also the battery has an 06 stamp on it so I take it its about 3yr old already with little use as he said it was used as a stand by battery.

how long could I play this battery for before it goes dead out of interest not that I plan on doing so but will do once in a while if at a show. is the reserve capacity the figure

What is the efficiency of your amps?

Are you playing music or test tones?

What volume are you playing at?

How much and what size wire are you using?

How many other batteries are in the vehicle?

What is the resting (open circuit) voltage of each battery?

I think you get the point. There is no easy way to calculate that for you. There are just too many variables to think about, or even calculate.

If you really want to know, follow these steps:

1) Connect the battery

2) Turn on the audio

3) Watch the clock
