Battery or alternator?

Will it do me any good to install a battery in the back next to the amp before I install high output alternator? Will this just put more drain on the alt trying to keep both charged.

also recommend me some bats at a decent cost.

I will be running about 1200 watts rms total.

should be fine on stock electrical. Do you know how big the stock alt is? if not what kind of car?

just do the big 3 and you should be good. maybe a small batcap in the back will be good but you shouldnt need more than that for only 1200.

batcap will be best if you dont want to add an alt cuz they charge and discharge really fast so there easier on the alt.

there pricy compared to standard batts but they save you from having to buy a H/O alt (as long as your not running a ton of power)
