Battery Keeps Dying!

Hey guys,

I have 2 12 inch sony xplod subwoofers hooked up to a 300w dual amp right now ( I know not the best, but im just getting into this hobby) and i got everyting hooked up and it all works just fine. The subs beat amazingly and everything. Then about 3 weeks later all the sudden my battery dies. My car wont turn on or nothing. I always make sure that when the car is off the amp turns off as well. So i took it to autozone they said the alternator and battery both failed. So i replaced both. NOT A CHEAP REPAIR for my car. All looked good then about 2 days after i replaced everything my radio all the sudden is cuttin out, im getting no sound out of my speakers, however once i press the gas and rev it up everyting works just fine, but the minute i let off the gas it stops again. Then once i turned the car off it wouldnt turn back on. The battery was once again dead. so i charged it up and the same thing happened a day later. Any ideas of what is happening?! im really started to get frusterated and about to give up on the system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Just to clarify it dies even when the car is running. ill be driving down the road and it will die. Any ideas? will a capacitor help at all?

if the remote wire is hooked up to amp it could stay on all the time . also if the negative wire from the amp is connected to the battery. it will always be on till the battery is dead. make sure the negative wire is grounded to the firewall . make suire u use sand paper on the wall of your trunk before u ground it you want shiny metal to get a good ground

Ive got the remote spliced into the the 12v constant wire but i have it hooked up to a switch and i make sure the switch is always off. The negative to the amp is grounded in the trunk on the bracket to the backseat. and i did sand it down.

i would recommend running the remote wire to the radio . also since you just replaced the battery and the alternator i would recommend taking it back to where ever you got and getting a gold battery if you don't have one already. once the remote wire is run to the radio you won't have to worry bout the amp running when the car is off and killing the battery down.
