THE WHOLE THING!!!
Personally I would throw it on a charger for a day or two. Should be floating around 12.6-12.8 under normal conditions.
If it was the alt the battery wouldnt read 14v with the truck on, but it does.Too bad you don't have a battery tester //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
My brothers car started dying. We assumed it was the battery. But the battery tester said the battery was still good.
So Then I started the car and checked the voltage. The alternator was only doing 12v. Changed the alternator. Now it charges where it should. It may be the battery or could be the alternator.
English. Lights arent draining anything. Left over a day the new battery measures exactly what it did brand new with nothing hooked up. I read the voltage at the battery with my DMM.Battery may not be a exact match if you would even begin to understand whats im talking about .The lights may be draining more than you are expecting?know also what are you using to read your voltage output? and where is it located?
Have you read any of this thread?12.7 is what id call ok for overnight voltage. the alternator may not be charging as you think. &yes the aftermarket lights cause serious drain in alot of situations . you mentioned 12.0 thats low . Indicating charging system is lacking.I let my car sit for weeks and still was/should be 12.3+ With a constant volt meter never turning off.
What battery do you have exactly ?
what dose the votage read after a cold start car off &also after driving for say atleast 20 mins?
