Thats how Im running them, no isolator. "New" AGM battery was at 12.47V when I measured today, my Duralast likes to sit at 12.3. Should be good.Just to let you know, it won't hurt anything to run both of those batteries on the same circuit with no isolator. The battery with the lower resting voltage will drain the other battery down towards the lower resting voltage. Anything over 12.5V is considered good, so I wouldn't worry. its common to see charging systems spike up near 15V when an accessory kicks off after running. Anything more than about 13V is enough to actually charge the battery.
I didn't post how things went. I'm still getting voltage drop but nothing like it was, its probably safe to say at least a whole 1v better according to my cigarette lighter volt meter lol. Im not sure how accurate this thing is. Before I did this new battery, the clock under my speedos backlight would flicker, as well as my interior lights, and my headlights. Now I dont have any flickers... even while according to it, I'm still going down in voltage. While driving, lowest I saw it hit was 13.2V. Sitting still with car running it drops down pretty good, saw it hit 12.0V again. Gave it a sec to rejuice and it stayed up higher.
I think it was worth it, I've at least tripled my cars total aH/RC
