My car was sittin still bumpin, and all of a sudden amp cut off and goes into protect. Im running a 2nd battery in the trunk. I listen closely and hear a hissing noise like acid is...doing something lol. I unhooked the battert IMMEDIATELY, and pulled it out when I got home. There was no acid on the battery or in the car, but it was doin something. I was runnin a Visonik V900HC on it, fuseless. It was juss a normal car battery...could my amp have juss finally killed the battery?

sounds like it was venting
Batteries vent ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I always wondered why comp organizations wanted non sealed batteries vented to the exterior of the car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sounds like the amp was pullling too much current and over heated the battery. WHICH IS A BAD AND VERY UNSAFE THING. Check out the voltage and such to make sure it's not out of wack, if it is you probably burnt up a cell. If it's OK then hook it back up and watch it for a little bit. Also, Unfused??? You are almost asking for problems...
