battery help

i am new to this,i need help hooking two batterys for a 1989 gran prix ,what is the best way to hook them?thanks

what type of batteries? are they the same? locations? etc

no the batterys are not the same,one is upfront and one in the back i have a 4yr battery in the front and a optima yellow top in back ,my amps are the punch 400 and punch 800

Why do you need two batteries? Plan on playing for prolonged periods with the car off?

no,but my lights dim at night,i have my two 12 inch kickers subs should i run parreal or in series?

run parallel, they should be fine that way...
