Battery ground questions 4000+ watts

The problem is when I am listening to music the voltage drops a bit. My friend and I wired the power wire directly to the alternator and that helped a little bit. The wire that's charging the truck is so tiny lol

i think thats the 3rd person, that needs to do a big 3, tonight. your ground to your battery is small too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif remember cars run on DC power and DC runs from - to +.

Ya ground definatly too small but your alt is being restricted with those little wires too...

I believe the rear battery is grounded to the frame, or pair of rear batterys. Right now it's an apxx18 running off an atomic 5k, and as long as it can stay above 12 i think thats good until he picks up the MLA to boost the voltage, and he plans on running the pair of stock 150 amp alternators. The car seems to eat a good amount of power as well, its an H2. I don't know if this all was mentioned, but at the moment it looks pretty good- Just looking for ways to improve it. I completely forgot to check if the 0 guage was coming off the alternator, or the original battery in the front. I did want to change his original battery, but its pretty big and now hopefully wont get drained from the system, since the odyssey batterys in the back are pretty massive and now hooked up directly to the alternator.

My guess would be next step would be trying to add an additional power wire from the alternator to the second rear battery, and then adding at least 1 or possibly 2 ground wires from the front to back once he can drill and add a few extra wires. Space might be an issue, fitting 4 0 guage cables nice and snug where nobody will ever see them. Any suggestions or constructive criticism is appreciated.
