good point b/c if i break the curcuit anywhere it will not be able to charge it! and the neg is easier to pull for me anywyas! thanks! supermaxx123

wow thanks guys for all the input i am actually loooking at the kinetik one. but i was talking to another guy and i asked him how woudl the kinetik charge work on my batcap 2000's and he had this to say!
"The internals of the Xstatic Stereo Batteries is different than Kinetic, although Kinetic's charger does have a very nice feature for most lead acid batteries, the design and configuration of the Xstatic batteries is different (and patented) so that effect doesn't happen in the first place, mainly due to not having typical lead plates."

from what he said i am gathering that batcaps have some kind a special plates in them which would make a charger like the one by kinetik usless...ya i don't really know what he is talkign about. can someone put this in lame man words. i do relize it is pretty simple to understand but is this guy trying to say that the kinetik charger will not work or rather charge my batteries to full power?

thanks again you guys are a super help!

Kenneth
Just sounds like to me they either want you to buy their $370 "5 stage" charger or their batteries must not be so typical that they can be charged up via an alt. If it needs "5 stages" it is not going to get that from an alt.

interesting point, so it is almost a marking gimic to get sales up or something like that. actualy i am going to contact the sales rep and ask him if it needs a 5stage to charge it properly. thanks again for your help! you are quite knowledgeable! also do you sell kinetik chargers?

No one should believe any of the shit that these battery manufacturers say. For one, most of them are made in the same buildhouse, and two you should be reading their spec sheets to compare them to begin with.

As far as chargers, I use an Schumacher 2/10/40 for the last 4 years. I even backed over it twice and it still works flawlessly. I think I paid $50 for it.

No but I know the company well, I am good friends with Pat and I worked there when they still made modded banks up to mid 2006.

Schumachers are good chargers as well, I use the baby one 2/4/6 on a 1400. Walmart carries them but the biggest they have is a 2/10/16 that is about $70 and imo that is pretty small to be charging banks. Most intelligent chargers are 3 stage and from what I seen/used they work well. I know mine takes a little longer than I like and I wouldnt use it on a bank, but I am pretty sure it charges the battery up well past 60%.

ya i got a noob question when i pop the charger onto my batteries (2 batcap2000's) will i have to unplug my amps? or no b/c the amps will be off. i assume the answer is no but i thought i would jsut double check!
