*****battery /capacitor help*****

Im on the @ss end of my setup im now in need of extra batteries and a capacitor if needed. My setup is: 1-jl zr 6.5 comp. 2-zr 6.5

1-jl xr 6.5 comp. 2-5.25

1- 450/4

2-w7-13

2-jl 1000

1-alpine cda 7998

1-alpine ipod adapter

All wire and terminals -dist.block -and cables i have. I messed around and let 3 audio shops give me advice on installation and baterries. I know now i should of came to you guys sooner being i didnt even want to go with jl i mean everything from rca cable to speaker wire to 6.5 is jl .By no way am bragging and yes its all under warranty i dont shop at (Dealercostaudio). I didnt pay for none of this lets just say the streets been good to a your boy u know. Anyhow i wanted to go with a ported box fired to rear ,and add 2 battcaps 2000 with a cap. i replaced the stock alternator in the caprice with a 140a alternator. now what should been done *** for extra power im going to leave this in u guys hands being i know someone on here will help other than try and sell me something from there shop they sold in years. oh yeah what about a battery isolator.man just help .from da bottom of da map peace car audio.

1 hc600 or hc800 should be enough bigger is always better tho. no isolator and definately no caps or batcaps.

Nothing wrong with JL stuff. It is good quality, just way over priced is all.

As for the batteries you need, since you are running 1450W RMS, you have two options IMO:

1) Biggest battery you can fit under the hood

- HC2400

- SP2150

- D3100

- 9A31

2) Stock under the hood + medium AGM in trunk

- HC1400

- D5100

- SP1500

You can isolate if you want. It is the right way to do it, but only if you have 2 different batteries. If you have two matching batteries, you can avoid the isolator.

Put a batcap 2000 in trunk.

No caps, one good upfront battery, and a nice medium size back battery. What size is you alternator?
