Battery Brainstorming

I am currently trying to decide what battery to go with for my car. I'd like a optima of course but not tryin to spend that much, plus my amp isn't pulling that much power. I've currently got a lovely (N)everstart, surprisingly i haven't had too many problems but there is a slight dim in lights due to my amp and all the accesssories i've got installed.

Has anybody had a motorcraft or duralast??? i know motorcraft is pretty legit, currently is the one i'm lookin at getting, but wanted to ask y'all if there was anything else equal/better for the same price.

***ALSO*** i am sure you'll be amused but i do have a 2nd battery i bought for adding a little boost to my system. it's a Shuriken 20amp battery. it's cute. ha but i figured what the hell. Are there any downsides to using it inline w/o an isolator?? i know these are needed mainly if you're running with the engine off. Any thoughts/suggestions as to whether it'd help out my neverstart til a new batt. is bought???

I would...but as mentioned i'm tryin to stay under 100, i don't NEED that powerful of a battery, plus i don't really want a drycell up front.....

So again, i ask if anyone knows anything bout Duralast. Things have an 8yr warranty and 760 cold crank. Sounds pretty **** good. But wanted to see what you guys thought....

i have 6 duralasts - they work great for me.
