How many ah with batteries should I use with 4000 Watts rms? Could I just get 3 small 110ah batteries?

The more ah the more reserve but id go with atleast 300. Remember to keep all batts the same technologie agm, sealed lead acid slr,valve regulated lead acid vrla. You also dont want standard lead acid in your car under load they let off toxic gas, so dont put cheap batterys in the vehicle.

More like every few hours if you run it hard. At least a 200 amp is needed.

deka, kinetik, c&d, some others...Alternator is more important right now though, it's not cheap, expect to shell out 300-500 for a good 200+ one, excessive amperage makes good ones

I can get Deaka's for a good price, but I highly recommend getting an alt first.

Batteries are a band aid and will eventually fail and damage your setup. However, batteries work great when you have a good charging system to keep up.

Even at 14v your going to need to be able to pull 285 amps of current to reach 4k watts. You'll need a beast alternator a good set of batts.

And that's before efficiency as well, assuming it's class D so between 80-85% efficiency you'll be pulling about 340-360 amps from the electrical.
