Battery acid ate my terminals

This is after I cleaned it off with electrical contact cleaners. go ahead and replace them?

Had the same thing happen to mine..If you want to stop this from happening again..Get some "Felt Battery Terminal Protectors"..They work..Trust me,and while your at it..Check or Replace any bad Grounds..

 
Another question... is this really caused by the battery leaking(I was using sealed maintenance-free lead-acid battery) or water splashing up onto the terminals and caused DC electrolysis? I switched to an Optima yellowtop and would like to keep this from happening again.
