would it be bad if i had a fresh new battery under the hood, another new battery by my amp, and my old battery also in the back?

would that old battery **** the juice from the other batteries somehow? or will it just add more power

If you wire them in a parallel, it would essentially add the capacities of each battery together.

lol... going to go buy a d3100 for the front, and d3100 for the back, and use my old les schwabb battery also in the back.. lol...

ok now, what if i got a new les schwabb battery from my father for free, and then i buy a d3100, then would i want to put the NEW batteries in the back next to the amp, and keep the half dead one in the front?

the battery cant hold a good charge really but still has power.. 2 years old

with 900rms going at idle it starts to drop, but if i rev it to 1.5 its fine

i was saying save it, because im going to run 3000rms to 2 18's and 2 ohms on a stock explorer alt a powermaster d3100 and a new front battery

hopefully that should be fine

Unless I am mistaken the batteries will have a parasitic affect, meaning they will **** juice until they are at a certain level. Which again unless I am mistaken, is a normal process.

True. Do a google search on dual battery systems. Unless the batteries are an exact match, dont wire them together without an isolator or relay. I know for many it does work, but it'll shorten the life of the new battery.

kk, then **** it, ill just throw it away, and get a new les schwabb one for the front, and a d3100 for the back, should be plenty to run 3000@2ohms

whats a les schwab battery?

3kw isnt THAT taxing to a battery bank, espically one made up of 2 d3100's
