Batcap 3000 as under the hood batt?

What some of you may or may not know is that the Batcap battery is very similar to Optima batteries. They have small spiral cell thin plates just like Optima uses. What this will do for you is it will give you more burst output, but at the expense of runtime, as well as less durability. When you use a thick plate battery, you lose some of that burst output, but you gain runtime and a hell of a lot of durability. Give those Batcaps a few deep cycles and see how they hold up. I sure hope you guys don't plan on running your audio with the key off. You will be buying new Batcaps rather quickly if you do.

I'm not doubting you, but do you have any specific examples to prove that? I want to know what not to do.

Well I have seen the 8400 split open and it was made up of Cyclon cells. From my understanding that is also what they use in the smaller units as well. A few of their models might actually have plates, but since their site sucks, it is hard to tell for sure.

I think they'll be safe enough. I don't play music unless I'm driving. But ya they could definitely use a better web site.

Ray claims that the Batcaps have a long life span. He told me they'll last up to 10 years...

I'm not backing up what he's saying since I obviously haven't had the chance to find out yet. He says that their lead is really expensive.

LOL, all lead is expensive right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

LOL at the eBay link "3000 COLD CRANKING AMPS"

I would LOVE to see that happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

More like 3000 BURST amps, which is for a micro second dead short at 0 volts.
