I don't do anything but I don't complain. I hate the people who ***** over and over about the president and how bad every politician is.People give the president too much credit. Not just speaking on Obama but all presidents. If you honestly think the person in office affects how messed up the country is then you must live in a box. If McCain would've won things people would still be complaining and not much would be different at all. The people in charge are not the problem it's the people they're in charge of that ultimately are to blame. If people would stop complaining and actually do something then things will be better. That's the biggest problem I've noticed. Everybody like to complain but few do anything to change their situation. Don't blame the president for what's wrong with this country blame your fellow citizens.

Yeah, that's right dipshit...you just spend time on this forum blabbing about how both sides are bad and that you don't do anything. And then you "hate" people who actually have some principles and take a stand. Some of us do vote, do give a shit about our country and do pay taxes. That gives us the right to want OUR taxes spent the way WE want and not thrown down a government run rat hole.I don't do anything but I don't complain. we just went over this. bankruptcy does not mean they go out of business. it means that they restructure, maybe liquidate, re-negotiate contracts, etc. bankruptcy is the step before going out of business and liquidating the entire thing. the media and the administration talk about bankruptcy as if it's an end to GM, and you eat it up like cake. the free market and capitalism have built in sytems for companies like GM and AIG, but we keep dicking with things. maybe GM shouldn't pay 1 million retirees full wages and benefits. i believe that the union has a stranglehold on GM finances, and without a bankruptcy, they will keep their stranglehold. not only did they not go into bankruptcy and renegotiate contracts, the union also has a large share hold in the company now. preferred stock. the taxpayers have common stock, even though taxpayers are the only ones with an actual investment. the way they changed the stocks around like that to benifit the union and government interests was a sneaky move. they knew 99% of people wouldn't even notice and wouldn't know what it meant if they did notice. So then you suggest GM goes away? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I'll wait awhile before I make this judgement.
i don't think he will concede. are education system doesn't teach anymore, they indoctrinate. people don't understand the correlation between government involvement and lack of freedom. AIG is an excellent example. they got the people outraged about bonuses, which allowed the government to go completely against the constitution, and rip up private contracts. people were distracted so much by being jealous and angry, they didn't realize how far the government was being allowed to reach in and steal rights. 1 week later, countrywide executives got even larger raises, and nobody said a word. fanny and freddie execs made out pretty good also. where's the outrage? people in america have lost the ability to think critically, and are easily fooled and manipulated.Yeah, that's right dipshit...you just spend time on this forum blabbing about how both sides are bad and that you don't do anything. You also made a comment about the fact that you will complain when government controls the means of production. Have you been living under a ****ing rock!? The government bailouts and takeover of the car industry, the banking industry, the insurance industry, bailing out state governments, attempting to pass cap and tax (effectively controlling the energy industry, although they pretty much do already with the worthless Dept. of Energy and the fact we can't drill on our own soil), etc. Wake up.
They have restructured. They liquidated by selling Saturn, Hummer, Saab, and discontinued Pontiac. They renegotiated the contract with the union and settled on a debt for equity swap. They shed costs by closing factories and eliminating jobs.we just went over this. bankruptcy does not mean they go out of business. it means that they restructure, maybe liquidate, re-negotiate contracts, etc. bankruptcy is the step before going out of business and liquidating the entire thing. the media and the administration talk about bankruptcy as if it's an end to GM, and you eat it up like cake. the free market and capitalism have built in sytems for companies like GM and AIG, but we keep dicking with things. maybe GM shouldn't pay 1 million retirees full wages and benefits. i believe that the union has a stranglehold on GM finances, and without a bankruptcy, they will keep their stranglehold. not only did they not go into bankruptcy and renegotiate contracts, the union also has a large share hold in the company now. preferred stock. the taxpayers have common stock, even though taxpayers are the only ones with an actual investment. the way they changed the stocks around like that to benifit the union and government interests was a sneaky move. they knew 99% of people wouldn't even notice and wouldn't know what it meant if they did notice.
And you spout off about contracts with the UAW when you have no idea what they were about. How about you educate yourself on the agreement between the automakers and the UAW and then comment? Speaking of being easily fooled by the media, you're gobbling up all the media propaganda about the union agreement with GM.i don't think he will concede. are education system doesn't teach anymore, they indoctrinate. people don't understand the correlation between government involvement and lack of freedom. I never said either side was bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I don't feel the need to whine and complain about politicians, especially on a car audio board when you could be talking to your state's representatives or other channels.Yeah, that's right dipshit...you just spend time on this forum blabbing about how both sides are bad and that you don't do anything. so then you know the difference between common shares and preferred shares. explain to me why the union shares were converted to preferred stock and the taxpayer is common stock. which was done afterwards. i've stated this more than once now and you have yet to defend it. the union has better positioning than anyone else in the company. they get first dibs in a liquidation. and you also never said anything about the board of directors at GM, and who is sitting on it. skipped right over that. And you spout off about contracts with the UAW when you have no idea what they were about. companies like GM are made up of people. all of whom contribute, get paid, and pay taxes. socialists always look at companies as if they are some kind of money generating robot. over a million actual people have worked for GM and paid taxes. i like all these words like "poised" to pay back. it wasn't going to happen under bush, and it won't happen now. you are defending your position by using a bunch of what-if's which requires a trust in the government that i just don't have.I never said either side was bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I don't feel the need to whine and complain about politicians, especially on a car audio board when you could be talking to your state's representatives or other channels.
I do pay taxes and did vote. 40% of Americans don't pay federal income taxes and your tax dollars are insignificant. The government is run on the tax dollars of companies like GM, not peons like you, but you are entitled to your soapbox since you pay piddly shit in taxes.
I didn't make that comment. I said complain to me when the government controls the means of production. I never said I would complain. The banks are poised to repay their loans, and you'll have to do better than listing companies getting federal loan guarantees.
canada should be happy. they have a seat on GM's board of directors. congratulations canada!!! you've won a shitty car company!!!!![]()
