Based on O-Dipshit's first 6 months...

Canada is code for....
a top secret place.

not in canada.

horrible decision. no american would ever willingly be in canada. you will fail at fooling your enemies.

so then you know the difference between common shares and preferred shares. explain to me why the union shares were converted to preferred stock and the taxpayer is common stock. which was done afterwards. i've stated this more than once now and you have yet to defend it. the union has better positioning than anyone else in the company. they get first dibs in a liquidation. and you also never said anything about the board of directors at GM, and who is sitting on it. skipped right over that.
The union is taking on billions of debt, why should they not get preferred stock? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif If the company liquidates, they wanted to have the preferred stock in order to pay for their retirees health care and they wanted the payouts in order to fund the retiree health care. Lets get some facts straight here, the UAW trust owns 17.5% of GM, not the UAW.

What were you asking about GM's board of directors?

companies like GM are made up of people. all of whom contribute, get paid, and pay taxes. socialists always look at companies as if they are some kind of money generating robot. over a million actual people have worked for GM and paid taxes. i like all these words like "poised" to pay back. it wasn't going to happen under bush, and it won't happen now. you are defending your position by using a bunch of what-if's which requires a trust in the government that i just don't have.
I don't get what you are saying? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif GM generated a million jobs in which the government has collected taxes, paid corporate taxes, property taxes etc.

so let me get this straight. the union is taking on billions of debt, largely caused by their labor agreements. and somehow the union trust is not actually the union. and they need the money for retiree health care, yet are pushing hard for government run health care, which will divert this alleged health care money to whom. and they have a majority seats on the board of directors. oh, and they donated millions of dollars to democratic candidates.

The union has one seat on the board of directors, and the dividends will be paid into the trust. They have taking billions of liabilities off GM's books. The original agreement was GM was to make one payment and that would be the end of GM's obligations to retiree health care. GM couldn't afford it, so they made this arrangement.

you talk about GM as if it's just a company, and the people are peons. those are your words. i was making a point that a large company is made up of thousands of peons, who have paid taxes, social security, medicare. you made the point that government only really cares about the taxes from large companies and not from the peons, and i think that they do care. 10$ from 300 million peons adds up fairly quick.

i'm not really against reward for risk, but the overall argument has been lost. i still contend that the government is controlling industry, especially banking and finance, but GM also since it was used as an example. this whole argument started with the comment that the government isn't controlling the means of production. i see them grabbing control of all the countries biggest money companies. monster companies. once you take their money, you'll never get out. that's my point in a nutshell. we've started a precident that won't be stopped now.

Because all presidents are completely based off the first 6 months of a 4 year term. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif You're the fvcking idiot that is wondering why our economy isn't already back at its highest place, why our housing market isn't way up also, and why every soldier isn't back from Iraq too. It's ridiculous how some people think that he can make a complete 360 and immediately change everything that is bothering our nation in its current state.

I bet you think that McCain and Palin would of had everything back to normal by now too. She was an excellent choice for vice president also, she can't even successfully govern her own state of a whole 600,000 people.

I have one thing to show u now - //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif:crying://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

No but at least the people would have some type of grasp of WTF he is doing to actually help create a job:laugh: He can however spend trillions upon trillions of dollars for an agenda and cap and trade is a FAILURE in Europe. Only reason they met their "carbon quotas" was due to the fact noone is working and those that are aren't working full time!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Of course there is also the fact all of his "townhalls" were busted for being staged as well as most every question he has taken.:laugh:When you are a democrat and you have Helen Thomas crawling up your *** about it something is definately not right.

attacking policy = racism?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif So what about the Great Society was good? How about the Raw Deal? People high up in both administrations claim large failure and Obama follows suite? Social experiments in time of crisis is a smart thing? Social Security , Medicare, and Medicaid are doing well? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

people are drunk with partisanship. george bush sucked. obama is not starting off well at all. in fact, he has outdone bush already in the first 6 months. actually, obama has already spent more than bush did, and i thought bush was an irresponsible moron with our money. but i'm just a racist, so my opinion about fiscal policy is obviously discredited. liberals have to be intellectually dishonest for their ideas to hold water, so in a debate that they know they will lose based on facts, they shout racism to shut down the conversation. they are fascists who hide behind political correctness and personal attacks to move along a flawed agenda.
