At least ***** on a forum that is slightly geared towards politics.
When the government has control of the means of production, then talk to me about socialism.
GM

AIG

chrysler

healthcare

fanny mae

freddie mac

countrywide

nbc

GE

want some more? not to mention the control they have over everything with regulations and taxes.

Here you go again trying to act like you are bipartisan when you are clearly on the right.
bipartisan my ***. i'm a conservative, at least fiscally and foreign policy. show me one presidential candidate since reagan who is an actual conservative.

from a political standpoint, biden has made far more blunders and stupid comments, but since palin is republican, anything bad about her will drown out the stupidity coming from your own team. they would both ****. you missed my point completely. i guess political strategy isn't your strong point.
My views are more in line with socialism so I make no apologies for what I said.

LOL the government doesn't own GE, it's government insured debt. The government hasn't given them any money.

They also only hold a 7% stake in Chrysler and will bail on Chrysler and GM as soon as they get back on track.

good. we can have a legitimate argument then. so many dems and liberals are intellectually dishonest from the start by claiming they somehow don't have socialistic views. socialism doesn't work by the way.

That's all you did prior to the election was claim to be some bipartisan now you are admitting to being on the right.

the union holds majority seats. canada even has a seat on the board at GM. if you want to be naive, that's fine, but when the president fires rick wagner, seems to me the government holds all the cards. you can look at the shadow game all you want, but the unions are the biggest obama backers in the country, and they have a majority on the board. the goverment controls over half the decision makers and has a "car czar". explain to me why they aren't controlling GM.

never claimed bipartisanship. you accused me of it then too. i hate the liberal/progressive idea, and have always said so. you do know the meaning of bipartisanship right? i'm far more libertarian, which aligns itself more with republicans, but i recognize crap repubs when i see them, and i don't see very many decent ones.

As soon as you explain to me how the government has any control of GE. In exchange for capital, the government got 60% of GM. It remains to be seen, but I expect the government to sell its share of GM and get out.

In your world, you propose GM, Chrysler, Ford, GE etc go out of business? That sounds like fun.

Meh, I am not very political, but I will say he is trying to do his best...........in a shitty time right now. Yeah, people need to read the huge bills before signing off on them, but it would be no different IMO if it was Obama or McCain in that aspect.

We needed to pull our troops from Iraq and place them were they are needed..........and what president hasn't changed his mind on something? Name one.....it is going to happen and people need to realize that he was making face to win an election, period.......I know you know that. It is a shame it is that way, but it is and will never change.

Who would you like to see as the President? I am sure you have your people, lol!

they wouldn't have all gone out of business. bankruptcy doesn't mean you go out of business, which i guess you must think. and if that's what it takes, that's what it takes. we are just prolonging the inevitable and not allowing the market to reset. throwing money at a problem never fixes the problem, which is essentially what we've done. we bailed out chrysler in the 70's as well. packard went out of business and we didn't fail. we're going to bring down the whole country trying to bail out corrupt and failed businesses. we can't subsidize everything forever on a debt standard.

i liked ron paul, except for his idea about abolishing the fed. i think we need to nationalize it and open up it's books, but not abolish it.
