Yeah. I'm getting chords. That's not the problem. The problem is trying to hold down all six with my index finger. You see, my hands are small (it makes for a great self-esteem boost. Either that or I really am just big.)I suppose it all takes practice and time to form calluses.

Just play punk rock....grab a Ramones or Misfits cd and that will boost your confidence.

Try playing classical....talk about fretwork.

Finger exercises for an hour every day. Then play bar cords for another hour since you **** dick at it.
